แบ่งลูกบอลออกเท่าๆกัน ได้ 2 กลุ่ม กลุ่มละ 3 ลูก แล้วนำไปชั่ง พบว่า
กรณีที่ 1 ถ้าเท่ากันแสดงว่าในกลุ่มนั้นมีลูกหนัก 2 ลูก ลูกเบา 1 ลูก แล้วนำไปชั่งต่อถ้าเท่ากันแสดงว่าลูกที่เหลือเป็นลูกเบา
